French Suite No.3 BWV 814 is in B minor, contrary to the G major stated in the record’s old title. The Allemande unfolds supple semiquavers between the hands, with several voices answering one another over a regular pulse.

The Courante quickens the motion and displaces accents within compound time. Motifs rapidly pass between registers while cadences organise both repeats without interrupting the impetus.

Practise lines in pairs and sustain long notes. Distinguish Allemande from Courante through articulation and weight rather than a forced contrast of tempo; the archive does not allow study of the other dances.
