Sonate n°6 - Fuga Triplicata
About this work
Suonata sesta returns to the principle of the Fuga triplicata, now across two pages. Several short subjects are presented, repeated and brought closer together, progressively increasing contrapuntal density.
Upper and lower voices exchange functions while the bass directs harmonic changes. Cadential chords briefly interrupt the motion before new entries begin.
Learn each subject with its own articulation. Combine two voices first, then add the others without accelerating; keep registration stable so that the combination of lines remains intelligible.
