Rondo a capriccio Op. 129, known by the nickname Rage Over a Lost Penny, turns an insistent motif into a comic scene. The G-major Allegro vivace piles up accents, repetitions and abrupt changes of register, as though the music stumbled and then set off again with even greater confidence.
