About this work
The third Capriccio launches an Allegro passionato in G minor built from rising runs, chords and suddenly restrained replies. Momentum depends on directed groups rather than continuous acceleration. Accents clarify arrivals and changes of register; equal weight on every one would flatten the tension.
Un poco meno Allegro opens a broader central space. Chords spread, inner voices become more audible and the rhythm temporarily stops pressing forward. Tempo I then reintroduces the passionate material in several transformations. The same beat needs to return, now carrying greater depth after the central episode.
Divide runs according to their arrival notes and practise each group with one impulse. In chords, hear the bass and upper line before completing the middle voices. Retain the opening subdivision internally during Un poco meno Allegro. Rehearse the join into Tempo I without an added pause so that the reprise sounds lively and necessary rather than rushed.
