About this work

Study Op. 10 No. 2 gives the weaker fingers of the right hand a continuous chromatic line while the thumb and index finger place the chords. Its difficulty lies less in speed than in independence: practise the two layers separately, then combine them at a slow tempo.

The left hand should remain steady and discreet. Establish a finger legato before adding very restrained pedal. The MIDI file provides a guide to continuity; the PDF retains the fingering, dynamics and slurs of the engraving.
