Sonate K 379 en Sol majeur pour piano et violon
About this work
Mozart composed the Sonata for Violin and Piano K.379 in 1781. An Adagio introduction opens a grave, measured space before the Allegro, where piano and violin exchange rapid runs, chords and replies rather than dividing melody from accompaniment.
The following Andantino cantabile presents a simple theme and transforms it through variations. Roles circulate, figures become more mobile and the final Allegretto offers a lighter conclusion without erasing the dialogue established at the outset.
Rehearse from the score to coordinate handovers, then use the separate parts. Tune note endings in the Adagio; in the Allegro and variations, preserve the same articulation when a motif passes between keyboard and violin.
