About this work
Symphony K.130 in F major returns to a four-movement plan. The opening Allegro unfolds a dense orchestral texture but leaves passages in which strings or winds temporarily come to the foreground. These changes of scale shape the progress as much as the themes themselves.
The Andantino grazioso rests on more supple phrases and a lighter sonority. The Menuetto with Trio restores collective stresses and a central contrast. The final Molto allegro brings together rapid passagework, sectional answers and energetic cadences.
Rehearse transitions between tutti and smaller groups so that volume does not change before the texture. In the Andantino, let lines breathe above an even bass. The Menuetto needs genuine motion towards the first beat; the finale requires consistent articulation between strings and winds.
