The Rondo alla turca is the third movement of Piano Sonata K.331. Mozart evokes so-called Turkish music through march rhythms, appoggiaturas and repeated chords while retaining the clarity of a Classical rondo.

The A-minor episode opens with a lively line above light chords. The major-key refrain answers in a more percussive character; scales, octaves and varied returns then lead to a brilliant coda.

Keep the left hand light so that accents do not become heavy. Practise runs in rhythmic cells, even out octaves and clearly distinguish episode from refrain through touch rather than excessive changes of tempo.
