Nutcracker Suite, Op. 71 - 3. Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy

About this work

This score contains the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy from Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite, Op. 71a. It is the orchestral score of the number, not a piano reduction.

The PDF has 7 pages. It shows the different orchestral sections and the characteristic celesta part. The download contains no separate parts and no MIDI file is associated with this page.

When reading the score, locate the celesta and the woodwind replies first, then observe how the strings establish the pulse without thickening the transparent texture. Silences and short attacks demand as much precision as the notes. This edition suits analysis or conducting; performance requires the parts for every section. The file carries a public-domain notice without a structured editorial reference.
